Seigfreid Bingham and its Health Care industry group were pleased to recently sponsor the Center for Practical Bioethics (The Center’s) 40th Anniversary Celebration Dinner.
Attorneys Lori Beam, Gordon Gee, Mark Opara, and Mark Thompson (who is recently retired and The Center’s current Vice Chair of the Board and soon-to-be Chair), together with a few of the firm’s health care clients, attended the event, celebrating The Center’s anniversary. For 40 years, the organization has helped healthcare providers, patients, family members, and others grapple with notions of right and wrong in the field of medicine and encourage caring conversations with loved ones about life and death decisions.
The reception featured programming, where presenters discussed topics such as the responsible deployment of artificial intelligence in healthcare, processes for including ordinary people with diverse backgrounds and experiences in developing public health priorities and systems, and real-life stories of how The Center’s ethicists help patients and their families make health care decisions right for them.
