Greg has extensive experience defending professional and amateur sports organizations in player and fan injury claims. Greg currently serves as lead trial counsel for the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA), and four other Division II athletic conferences in connection with nationwide class action litigation, involving head trauma in college football. Through his experience, Greg has developed expertise in the unique challenges facing professional and amateur sports organizations in such lawsuits. In addition to representing clients in the defense of injury claims, as the legal need for this industry rapidly develops, Greg has also worked closely with a number of sports clients in the areas of insurance and risk management. He also leads the firm’s “Empower U” for NCAA conferences and institutions to provide educational resources and navigation through the new laws and rules regulating Name, Image, and Likeness compensation for student-athletes.

Greg focuses other aspects of his practice on representing clients in all types of business disputes, with particular emphasis in construction disputes. Greg’s background in construction, including over 6 years of working in the industry, provides Greg a unique outlook and understanding of the challenges in navigating and managing a construction project, making him the ideal attorney for property owners, suppliers, and contractors who need a wide range of legal services. Greg’s construction related services include drafting and negotiating contracts, as well as litigation.
Greg also has extensive experience in real estate litigation, having represented a number of clients in real estate related matters, including landlord/tenant disputes, boundary disputes, water rights, quiet title actions and real estate foreclosures. In addition, Greg routinely represents equipment dealers in disputes with manufacturers, as well as real estate professionals, financial institutions, manufacturers, and trucking companies in a variety of legal matters.
Representative Cases
S & H Farm Supply, Inc. v. Bad Boy, Inc., Case No. 6:18-cv-03413-BP (W.D.Mo.) – obtained $6.5 Million jury verdict/judgment on behalf of equipment dealer in claim for wrongful termination by manufacturer. The case was recognized by Missouri Lawyers Weekly as the 4th highest plaintiff’s verdict in Missouri in 2020.
S & H Farm Supply, Inc. v. Bad Boy, Inc., No. 21-1121 (8th Cir.) – argued and obtained complete affirmation of $6.5 Million jury verdict.
BOKF, NA v. BCP Land Company, LLC, et al., Case No. 6:14-cv-03025-MJW (W.D.Mo.) – obtained jury verdict in favor of real estate developer and owners on claims for fraud and breach of contract seeking damages in excess of $1 Million
Obtained $350,000 settlement for client in claim for breach of contract claim pending in Kansas state court.
Obtained successful rulings in numerous arbitrations and bench trials relating to a wide variety of business disputes.
