Julie Parisi is an experienced litigation partner who represents businesses and individuals in complex, high-stakes disputes. With more than a decade of litigation experience, Julie has built a broad commercial litigation practice representing clients ranging from individuals and closely held businesses to multimillion-dollar companies. Her work spans class actions, commercial and contract disputes, employment matters, and franchise litigation, among other complex business disputes.

Julie represents clients on both sides of the issues that drive modern businesses. She has represented employers and employees, franchisees and franchisors, companies defending significant business interests, and individuals seeking to protect their investments, businesses, and livelihoods. This breadth of experience gives Julie the ability to see disputes from multiple perspectives, anticipate the strategies of opposing parties, and develop practical approaches tailored to what is actually at stake for each client.

Her practice crosses a wide range of industries, with particularly deep experience in employment, health care, transportation, restaurants and hospitality, construction, franchising, and general commercial matters. Julie understands that effective representation requires more than knowledge of the law. She takes the time to understand how her clients' businesses operate, the economic realities underlying a dispute, and the consequences that litigation can have beyond the courtroom.

Before attending law school, Julie worked in Kansas state government, including for the Office of the Governor, and later served as a political appointee in the federal government. That experience gave her an early understanding of how consequential decisions are made, and how legal, policy, and practical considerations intersect. It continues to inform the strategic perspective she brings to her practice today.

Julie handles litigation from its earliest stages through final resolution, including complex discovery, critical depositions, dispositive motions, trial proceedings, and appeals. She is adept at quickly mastering complicated factual and legal issues, identifying the arguments that matter most, and developing focused strategies designed to advance her clients' broader objectives, while always keeping her client’s objectives in mind.

Clients turn to Julie when the stakes are significant and the path forward is not obvious. She brings meticulous preparation, sound judgment, and a practical approach to difficult situations, providing clients with clear and candid advice about risk, strategy, and their options. Whether a matter calls for aggressive litigation, a negotiated business solution, or a combination of both, Julie remains focused on protecting what matters most to her clients.

Julie earned her J.D. from the University of Kansas School of Law in 2013 and her undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas in 2008.

Outside of her practice, Julie enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and two daughters. Her longstanding ties to the Kansas City area inform both her practice and her commitment to the community she serves.
