Passionate about protecting family assets and generational inheritances, as well as working with businesses, Mike Griffin is a seasoned estate/tax planning and corporate attorney with over 30 years of experience, focusing his practice on estate planning, business succession planning, probate, trusts, tax, and business law.
An extensive background in estate/tax planning.
Mike helps clients reach their asset protection goals, routinely working on wills, revocable trusts, various types of irrevocable trusts, special needs trusts, family limited partnerships, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives. He also works on estate tax returns and gift tax returns, as well as administering decedent’s probate estates and trust estates.
A strong understanding of corporate law and how large and small businesses work.
By providing numerous corporate legal services, Mike has created a versatile practice. He works on planning, operational, and transactional matters, business formation, mergers and acquisitions, and employment agreements. He has worked with the business formation of C-Corporations, S-Corporations, and limited liability companies (LLCs) and the tax components that come with the process.
Mike also works on the negotiation, preparation, and documentation phases of the merger and acquisition process, having created numerous merger, stock, and asset acquisition and joint venture documents, buy-sell agreements, by-laws, operating agreements, succession planning documents, employment and non-compete agreements, and private placement memoranda.
