Seigfreid, Bingham, Levy, Selzer & Gee, P.C. announced today that Frederick H. (“Fritz”) Riesmeyer, II has joined the firm’s litigation department as a Shareholder.

Riesmeyer focuses on complex business and intellectual property litigation.  This includes handling disputes and dealing with exit strategies for closely-held businesses.  Riesmeyer has been doing trial and appellate work for 35 years in state and federal courts and has successfully tried numerous jury cases and has obtained reversals in both the Missouri and Kansas Supreme Courts.

Riesmeyer is the 2011 recipient of the H. Michael Coburn Professional Excellence Award and has been named to Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers.  He is a graduate and active member of the faculty of the National Institute of Trail Advocacy (NITA), and is an active master in the Ross T. Roberts Inn of Court.  He currently serves on the Board and Executive Committee of the Economic Development Corporation of Kansas City and is Chair of the Industrial Development Authority of Kansas City.

Riesmeyer received his J.D. from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Denver.
