Seigfreid Bingham and its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee recently sponsored the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) School of Law and the University of Kansas School of Law (KU) diversity-focused events.
The UMKC Annual Diversity Banquet took place last week and supported the Diverse Student Coalition Endowed Scholarship. Attorneys Mirjana Gacanich, Mark Opara, Julie Parisi, and Rachel Sterbenz attended the event, which honored the 2022 scholarship recipients and diversity in the legal community.
Having both UMKC and KU alumni at Seigfreid Bingham, the firm also supported KU’s Annual Diversity in Law Banquet, hosted by the Asian Law Students Association, one of five student-led diversity groups. Similarly, this banquet was a fundraiser for the Diversity in Law Scholarship and celebrated diversity in the legal field.
