Seigfreid Bingham attorney Dan McClain was selected recently by the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association (KCMBA) for the 2022 President’s Award, which honors attorneys for their contributions to the legal profession and the KCMBA.

The KCMBA presented Dan with the award at its 138th Annual Meeting, which the firm was a sponsor, and several of our attorneys attended.

Dan was recognized for his service as Chair of the 2022 Bar Leadership Academy (BLA). The BLA is a seven-month program that helps new lawyers prepare for leadership positions at KCMBA and in the community. Dan previously served as Chair of the KCMBA Business Litigation Committee, President of the Civil Litigation Section, and on the KCMBA Board of Directors.

CEO and attorney Steve Kyle published an article about Dan in the December edition of the KC Counselor. Steve notes several reasons Dan earned the award, including the high quality of his legal work and commitment to teaching young lawyers.

“If one of the missions of the KCMBA is ‘to enhance the image of attorneys and judges,’ then I believe Dan is a great ambassador for the association,” Steve explains in the article.
