On Friday, March 20, Kansas Governor Laura Kelly announced the establishment of the of the Hospitality Industry Relief Emergency (HIRE) Fund to assist hospitality businesses seeking emergency loans in response of the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. This program, which is administered through the Kansas Department of Commerce and NetWork Kansas, offers loans up to $20,000 at 0% interest for a three-year term. Use of the funds include, but are not limited to, commercial loan payments, commercial lease payments, payroll, utility bills, accounts payable, and inventory.
