MoserKansas City, Missouri (April 20, 2016) Seigfreid Bingham, P.C. is pleased to announce that James Moser has joined the firm as of counsel.  Moser will practice in the firm’s Corporate, Tax and Employee Benefits groups with a primary emphasis on employee benefits law, including qualified plans, nonqualified deferred compensation plans, DOL investigations and regulatory correction programs.  A substantial part of his practice will be devoted to Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs), fiduciary counseling, corporate governance and business succession planning.

Moser has experience representing companies, shareholders and trustees in a wide variety of ESOP transactions. Before moving to private practice, James was the National ESOP Advisor for ‎the Employee Benefits Security Administration of the U.S. Department Labor in Washington, D.C., where he coordinated the Department’s efforts to identify and correct violations of ERISA in connection with ESOPs, including improper valuations, prohibited loans, discrimination issues, voting rights, diversification and refinancing.
