Ken’s practice is primarily built on medium to large corporate transactions involving real estate, corporate finance, and economic development. He has worked on sales, acquisitions, leasing, and the financing of land and buildings. He has extensive experience creating, reviewing and negotiating real estate owners’ leases and loan and credit agreements with lenders. He also deals with economic development work, zoning, and other land use issues.
Ken has served as borrower’s counsel for numerous corporations and nonprofit health care entities in numerous loan transaction including both fixed and variable rate bonds issued by various authorities. Such transactions have included the acquisition of facilities or equipment and general operating purposes for Health Midwest (prior to its acquisition by HCA), Freeman Health System, and Kansas City Hospice.
